Possible Privacy Protection Passwords That You Can Try When You're Locked Out

Possible Privacy Protection Passwords That You Can Try When You're Locked Out

If you're like me who got locked out of your own Android smartphone and you're now being asked by your phone to enter a 'Privacy Protection Password' that as expected you cannot remember and now you're just desperate to find out what that password is before following the suggestions in Google to actually reinstall/flash your android with its stock firmware which is obviously tedious but definitely a surefire way to solve it and you just have this little hope that you might actually know the password and your brain just needs a little nudge so you can remember. Wow, that was long. Sorry!

Your Android phone will be locked and will ask for your Privacy Protection Password only if you have enabled it yourself. You might have done this during you and your phone's honeymoon period (usually 1-3 days from the day you first bought your phone when you're usually also discovering/setting everything up to every tiny little setting on your phone). That honeymoon period is just my estimate, by the way, it could be a month for you, or just 30 minutes for someone else, whatever.

In my case, it happened when I removed my primary sim card and changed it to another sim card. Once I turned the phone on, after it booted, it immediately asked for the password. And of course, I forgot that password. You're probably so frustrated right now like how I felt when this happened. I almost followed everyone else's recommendation to just flash my Android phone back to its stock firmware. I wasn't ready to let go of whatever it is that would be gone (files, photos, settings, etc) if I did that. So I tried my best to just remember or guess the password that I have set.

If you want to try and guess the password firstly before flashing your phone, you can try the following hints:
  1. Your birthdate (this is the one that worked for me)

You have to try different date formats because you may have set the password up in a certain date format. If your birthday is March 2, 2015, try the following formats:

    030215
    3215
    03022015

The format above follows the month first- March / 03. You can try and follow the EU date format where the day comes before the month, etc. But you should be familiar about how you personally write dates. In my case, what worked is 03022015. This isn't my birthday by the way, just my date format, lol!

  2. Common default codes

I know that you have set the Privacy Protection Password yourself but believe it or not, some people actually use default codes as their own pin/password so they can easily guess or remember it if needed. The following are the most common default codes that you can try:

    1111
    1234
    0000
    11111
    12345
    00000
    111111
    123456
    000000

  3. Lastly, try other significant dates (Anniversary, your kid's birthday, your partner's birthday, etc.)
I am genuinely hoping that you're able to enter a correct password following the hints above. If you've tried everything and you're still unable to unlock your phone, you can try following this video tutorial about how you can bypass this and flash your Android phone back to its stock firmware.

How to Measure Distance Between Locations Using Google Maps (For Travel)

Apparently, information regarding Toyozu Mountain Resort isn't fully available on the internet. They have no website, no official social media page and they don't even have a proper Google Maps result. It's frustrating. As of writing, if you search 'Toyozu Mountain Resort' in Google Maps, the first search result is about a different Toyozu and it's far from being a resort. Try it! Although, I did submit Toyozu Mountain Resort now in Google Maps so it will hopefully have a proper result soon!

We've been planning our short day tour there for my son's birthday. Obviously, this would be our first time to go there. And it would definitely ease our travel a bit if we know a little bit of information about how to get there and the distance between our house and Toyozu Mountain Resort. That is so we know the estimated travel duration.

So I manually looked for Toyozu Mountain Resort via Google Street View and after several clicks, I finally found the road going to the resort. Unfortunately, the Google Street View truck didn't turn left so there are no street views going to the actual resort.

Now let's start measuring the distance between here and another location. In my case, our house. You can follow the steps below if you're trying to do the same. Please note that I am using Chrome on a PC.

If you're currently viewing the street view version of your starting location right now, zoom out until you're back in Google Maps view.

Or if you're already in Google Maps view, and you have already determined your starting location, stay there.

Right click on your starting location, then click on Directions from here.

You will immediately notice that a round marker is placed on your starting location as shown below:

Navigate your map so you are viewing your 'end' location. In this case, we are navigating the map's view to our house's location.
Right-click on the map and click Directions to here so you are marking your end location.

Immediately on the right-side of the page, you will see the distance and the travel duration between the locations.

It was just what I needed! I now know how much time we would expect for travel time more or less and how much gas we need for the car. I like to be sure as much as I can before going on an adventure, especially if that adventure is located quite remotely.

Where to Buy Sewing Machines in Davao City

It's unfortunate that our city has very limited resources when it comes to sewing supplies and equipment. At least that's what I have observed. We don't even have a Singer store here in Davao. Just writing about it makes me want to eat a gallon of coffee flavored ice cream.

The list below isn't every store in Davao that sells sewing machines but it's everything that I know and I can search on the internet. I'll continue to update this post if I know or see more stores that sell sewing machines.

Sidewalk of corner of Ramon Magsaysay Avenue (known to locals as Uyanguren Street) and Lizada Street in Davao City

Second-hand portable and industrial sewing machines are sold here. You'd be happy to know that you can get the advanced ones (digital, multiple stitch patterns, automatic button stitching, sergers, etc) in a really really low price. In fact, I bought my own sewing machine from there. But you have to be very mindful and meticulous when buying second-hand machines. Remember that you're buying already used sewing machines so it's best to test it as much as you can before finally bringing it home.

Of course, those who sell sewing machines here, as mentioned, display their items on the sidewalk so there isn't any contact number that I can include but you are free to ask their personal mobile numbers upon getting there.

Davao KCEI Sewing Machines

They sell brand new sewing machines with warranty. They are located in J Marketing Bldg., Gen Luna cor. Illustre, Davao City. Check out their Facebook Page for more information.

Brother Int'l. Phils. Corp.

Obviously they only sell Brother sewing machine brands. So your choices will be limited if you choose to buy from here. The upside is that everything is brand new and you're directly buying from the brand. The warranty is clear-cut as you know exactly where to go in case something's wrong with your machine. They are located at G/F Unit 4 HAI Global Bldg. Pryce Business Park, J.P. Laurel Ave., Davao City. Just in front of Blu Gre and BDO Bajada.

Welp, that's it, I know. But like I said, I will continue to update this post if I find more stores that sell sewing machines in Davao City. You can also comment below if you know a place that I didn't mention here.

Thanks for reading! Until next post!
